1. DS Closure for Year 2023

Thank you for your support to BUBS Dhamma School and also your child’s Dhamma education.  Dhamma  School will be closed for the year and reopens for 2024 classes in February 2024.  Should you and/or your child wish to continue his/her Dhamma education with us, please be reminded to Re-register.  In case you have yet to re-register, please submit the completed Re-registration  form and payment to Sunday Counter by coming Sunday, 29 October 2023.

2. Parents Day 2023

For Parents who have registered for Parents Day and Kids Yoga students, please be reminded that this activity will be held on coming Sunday, 29 October 2023 from 9am to 11am. Kids Yoga students will report to Teacher Pushpa in Viriya Room on 1st floor while Parents Day’s Registration counter is open from 8:30am on 1st floor, outside Bhavana Hall. You are advised to make time for possible traffic congestion due to the ongoing Carnival at SRJK (C) Puay Chai 2 School.

Wesak Day Celebration 2023

All Dhamma School students will be participating in the event/s rostered for respective classes on Wesak Day, 4 May 2023 (Thursday).  The attire for students is BUBS T-shirt with DARK colored LONG pants/skirt.  Strictly NO Shorts. Special Interest Group (SIG) for Kids Yoga will commence on 12 February 2023 from 11am to 12 noon.  Parents whose child/children are between the ages of four (4) and twelve (12) years old, who are students of BUBS Dhamma School and are interested to join this SIG are required to proceed with the following :-

• Please be informed that all classes are commencing from 9 am on every Sunday as marked in DS calendar.

• The ending time is 10.30 am for Pre-School, DS1 to DS7 classes and 11 am for TeenQuest 1 to 3.

Happy New Year 2022.

We wish to inform that we are communicating with parents via BUBS Broadcast and 2021 Whatsapp Chat Group pending update of our DS 2022 Register.

We thank you for having successfully re-registered your child/children into BUBS Dhamma School.

Having considered the feedback from parents and teachers, the DSMC has decided to commence classes effective from 13 February 2022 via online and in the following manner.

1. TeenQuest 1, 2 & 3 (13 years old and above) - weekly classes on Sunday from 9:30am to 11:00am

2. DS3 to DS7 (8 to 12 years old) – 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 9:30am to 10:30am

3. Pre-School, DS1 & DS2 (4 to 7 years old) – 2nd Sunday of the month from 9:30am to 10:30am

It is envisaged that this arrangement will remain until June 2022 or further notice.

4.1 Dhamma School 2022

Our gratitude for your participation in the online lessons in 2021. Our grateful thanks too, to the Teachers who have taken the challenge to conduct online lessons. We are proud of your agility in learning new technology and in adapting to the new norm.

Please be informed that the current 2021 session for Dhamma School will be ending after 28 November 2021. Dhamma School is scheduled to resume classes on 06 March 2022. This is to allow sufficient time for all parties to settle down on academic related studies and to gear themselves for another exciting year of Dhamma teaching and learning. Meanwhile, DS Management Committee (DSMC) and EXCO will get the classrooms ready and to reorganise the classes for potential face-to-face lessons with the safety of users as our utmost priority.

At this juncture, DSMC has yet to finalise the mode of deliveries and frequency of lessons for 2022. As much as we want to admit all re-registered students whose parents are members of BUBS to our Dhamma School, this may not be feasible due to reasons below.

1. Overly registered number of re-registered and newly registered students for each class

2. Capacity of the number of students per class due to social distancing

3. Parents and/or Teachers’ views on the various type of deliveries

4. SOPs for the opening of BUBS eg restriction of certain age, health condition, etc.

Details of commencement, successful admission and/or other alternatives will be announced prior to the commencement.

Moving forward, please be informed that Re-registration will be opened from 21 November 2021 and close on 12 December 2021.

4.2 Re-registration for Dhamma School 2022

Re-registration for DS Yr 2022 will be opened from 21 November 2021 and close on 12 December 2021. All existing students from ages 4 to 17 years old in 2022 who wish to continue to join Dhamma School MUST re-register.

Re-registration is to be submitted online for each of your children who are existing students of BUBS. The re-registration fee is RM70 per student. Additionally, your generous donation will contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the premise for Dhamma School. Those who do not re-register by 13 December 2021 shall be deemed that they are not interested to continue the Dhamma Class in 2021. Subsequently, should the students wish to join the class, they are required to adhere to BUBS Dhamma School's new intake procedure.

Here are the updates from BUBS Dhamma School.

1. Teen Quest (students from ages 13 to 17 years old)

   • Classes for TQ1, TQ2 and TQ3 are continuing every Sunday from 10 am to 11.00/11.15 am.

2. Pre-School & DS1 to DS7 (students from ages 4 to 12 years old)

   • The next ONLINE Classes will be held on 24 October 2021 from 10am to 10.30am for Pres-School & DS1 and from 10am to 11am for DS2 to DS7.

Thank you for your registration with BUBS Dhamma School.

We hope you and your family are adapting well to new Covid-19 norm. While we are hopeful for a face-to-face class session in the very near future, we are looking forward to meeting our students online to catch up with the Dhamma and our DS students. Information of the session is as follows :-

1. Classes : TeenQuest 1 ,2 and 3 (13 to 17 years old)

Every Sunday recommencing 20 June 2021 from 10 am to 11:15 am

1. Classes : DS2 to DS7 (7 to 12 years old)

3rd Sunday of the month commencing 20 June 2021 from 10 am to 11 am

1. Classes : Pre-School (4 to 5 years old) and DS1 (6 years old)

3rd Sunday of the month commencing 20 June 2021 from 10 am to 10:30 am

Your respective Class Teachers will be sending you the link for the session and the link will be opened 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Should your child requires assistance, please guide them and follow the instruction of the Class Teacher who is facilitating the session at all times.

Despite current uncertainties, the DS Management Committee (DSMC) is proceeding with the re-registration of existing students and registration for new students.

1. Re-registration for 2021

a. This re-registration is for BUBS DS students who are registered for 2020 classes and are between 4 to 16 years old in 2020.

b. Sadhu to parents who have re-registered for 2021 intake.

c. Parents who have yet to do so but would like their child/children to join the DS from next year ie 2021 are required to re-register by submitting the re-registration form online before 15 November 2020.

2. New Registration for 2021

We are also accepting new students who are ready and interested to join the Dhamma School from 2021. Parents with child/children from ages 4 to 17 years old in 2021 may e-mail to pohliewlau@gmail.com for the registration form and/or further enquiries.

We wish to advise that the re-registration of students for Dhamma School for the Year 2020 will commence from September to 31 October 2020.

The re-registration fee of RM70 per existing student for the year 2021 will be waived.

All existing students from ages 4 to 17 years old in 2021 who wish to continue to join the Dhamma School MUST re-register. We look forward to your children continuing their dhamma education with us. Re-registration is to be submitted online for each of your children who are existing students of BUBS.

For your information, although the Dhamma School is managed by volunteers, the operating expenses to sustain the Dhamma School is approximately RM200 per student per year. We seek your kind support to contribute generously to defray the operating expenses.
