Since its inception in July 2000, the Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS) Dhamma School has been a cornerstone of our community, nurturing young minds in the teachings of the Dhamma. As one of our flagship programs, the Dhamma School is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of Buddhist values among children aged 4 to 17. With almost 300 students enrolled, our school thrives on the commitment of over 20 volunteer Dhamma School teachers and Special Interest Group (SIG) facilitators who create a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
Our Classes
Dhamma classes are held every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, offering a blend of teachings, discussions, and activities tailored to different age groups. Our 11 classes ensure personalized attention for each student. After class, students enjoy light refreshments lovingly prepared by our dedicated refreshment volunteer teams, fostering a sense of community and care.
Join Us
We welcome new students twice yearly, with intakes at the beginning and the middle of every year. Enrollment is open exclusively to children of BUBS members, ensuring a close-knit community rooted in shared values. Interested families can contact our Registrar for more details on how to join.
Special Interest Group (SIG) Classes
Beyond our core Dhamma curriculum, we offer engaging extracurricular SIG classes to spark creativity and holistic growth. Held after regular Sunday sessions, these include:
Kids’ Yoga: Promoting mindfulness and physical well-being.
Dance: Encouraging self-expression through movement.
Hymn Singing: Celebrating Buddhist values through music.
These programs complement our Dhamma teachings, helping students grow in mind, body, and spirit.
