Asalha Puja, also known as Dhamma Day, which falls on the Full Moon Day of Asalha month every year in Buddhist calender, is on 24 July 2021 this year. This is one of Theravada Buddhism's most important festivals, celebrating our Lord Buddha expounding the First Sermon to the five ascetics - the most crucial doctrine after his enlightenment. This first pivotal sermon is called Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, often referred to as “Setting in Motion of the Wheel of Dhamma”.
