Launch of BUBS 25th Anniversary Celebration- Anumodana

  • Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (PPM-011-10-28032000) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Dear Members and Friends of Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS),

With immense gratitude and joy, we reflect on the extraordinary celebration of BUBS’ 25th Anniversary, held on March 28, 29, and 30, 2025. This milestone event was a profound success, blessed by the inspiring presence and support of 25 Bhikkhu Sangha, led by Venerable Chao Khun Keng, who went above and beyond by bringing additional monks to mark this occasion. We were especially honored by the participation of Luang Por Liam (63 Vassa), a highly revered senior monk, whose presence added immense grace and significance to the event.

The launching on March 28, 2025, began with the lighting of a candle, symbolizing the timeless wisdom shared by the Buddha: “Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” This act set the tone for a weekend filled with blessings, as the Sangha’s powerful and auspicious Paritta chanting uplifted the energy of Uttama Bodhi Vihara (UBV). Luang Por Liam expressed delight at our facilities for practice, touring the entire building alongside Chao Khun Keng, capturing many memorable photos. As a cherished gift, Luang Por presented BUBS with a unique Buddha Rupa, now placed in the Bhavana Hall, and delivered an inspiring Dhamma talk on the morning of March 29, touching the hearts of all present.

The event provided devotees with abundant opportunities to cultivate Dana through Pindacara, the offering of requisites, and donations; to strengthen Sila through mindful participation; and to deepen Bhavana, culminating in a one-day meditation retreat attended by 100 dedicated yogis. Our photo exhibition brought immense joy and nostalgia to those who have been part of BUBS over the past 25 years, while inspiring newer members with the legacy of our community.

The organizing chairman wishes to share: “Everyone worked very hard and served with joy and happiness. May the goodness arising from your meritorious deeds be the causes for favorable conditions for your practice.” On behalf of BUBS, we extend our heartfelt anumodana to the visiting monastics, invited guests, the Organizing Committee, Exco members, and volunteers who worked harmoniously and with great dedication to make this 25th Anniversary launching a truly blessed occasion. Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.

May the merits of these three remarkable days continue to inspire and uplift us all as we journey together in the Dhamma.

With Metta and Anumodana,

Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS)

From the Organizing Chairman and the Entire BUBS Community
