BUBS reopened UBV to the public for the Wesak celebration this year with the theme: “Service and Reflection, the Path to Happiness.”
We wish to record our gratitude and appreciation to Ven. Jinananda from Ottawa, Canada for leading us in the guided meditation, Dhamma sharing and circumambulation on Wesak Eve, the monastics of Sri Jayanti Buddhist Temple Sentul for the blessings on Wesak Day and Bro Benny Liow for his meaningful Wesak Day talk.
Our special thanks to SJK(C) Puay Chai 2 and the Surau Management for always giving us permission to use their car parks during Wesak and to the scouts team who cheerfully and tirelessly helped out everywhere throughout the day. To our donors, benefactors, supporters, well-wishers, friends, BUBS members and their families - thank you for your support and participation in making this celebration a success.
We are very encouraged by the faith, generosity and enthusiastic spirit of the Wesak organizing committee and the many volunteers, as well as our well-wishers, members and friends. The Wesak celebration would not have been possible without your participation, co-operation and contributions.
Anumodana and Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu to all.
Last but not least, we would like to apologize for any shortcomings that may have arisen during the event and we appreciate your feedback in order for us to improve in supporting your practice. We seek your forgiveness if we have unintentionally caused any inconvenience to anyone.
We hope that you found joy in participating in our Wesak Celebration and see the relevance of our Wesak theme: “Service and Reflection, the Path to Happiness”
