Biodata:

Born and bred in Penang, Ven. Ajahn Kittisobhano (Bhante Huat Poh) was first introduced to Theravada Buddhism in his early teens and his interest and practice of the dhamma steadfastly progressed into adulthood. Finding his true calling, he decided to give up his career as an engineer to go forth.

On 13 June 2005, he was ordained in the Dhammayut Thai forest tradition in the Province of Chiangrai, Thailand. He has spent the past 14 years in the deep forest of Omkoi in northern Thailand, supported by a nearby tribal village for his basic living needs.

A very good practising monk of the Thai forest tradition, Ven. Ajahn came back to Malaysia 3 years ago when his dad was not well. Ven. Ajahn has been sharing the Dhamma to promote better understanding and inspire faith to walk the Path that leads to liberation.
