Cultivate the Liberation of Mind by Lovingkindness
This year we celebrate Wesak in the midst of a pandemic that is affecting our lives such that we are required to adhere to social distancing in order to avoid the spread of the disease. We are required to stay at home and refrain from going out to gatherings and crowded places.
Our theme this year is "Cultivate the Liberation of Mind by Loving kindness". So let us take this time to reflect on the teachings, continue our Dhamma practice with heightened focus and cultivate the liberation of the mind.
On Wesak Eve and Wesak Day, we have arranged online program such as taking the Three Refuge & 5 Precepts, readings of the Visakha Puja, Guided meditation, Paritta chanting, Itipiso chanting, live/recorded Dhamma talk for you to participate from your home.
The Dhamma talk will be by Ven. Ajahn Kalyano, Abbot of Buddha Bodhivana Monastery, Melbourne and Ven. Ajahn Dhammasiha, Abbot of Dhammagiri Hermitage, Brisbane, Australia. Further details of the program will be available in the next announcement.
We hope that all of you are keeping well, staying safe and healthy. Even though our body is sick, we should not let the mind be sick. Let us take this time to practice lovingkindness and cultivate the mind for the liberation from suffering.
As we celebrate Wesak 2020, let us make an e-Offering with a sincere heart on this auspicious day for the well-being and happiness of all.
This e-Offering is an online offering of the image of the lotus flower to be posted on the bubs.my/wesak-puja page with your message within.
