Luang Por Sucitto

It is our profound honour and privilege to present the teachings of Luang Por Sucitto, a revered figure in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. Born in London in 1949, Luang Por Sucitto embarked on his monastic journey in Thailand in 1975, receiving full bhikkhuni ordination in 1976. He returned to Britain in 1978 to train under the esteemed Luang Por Sumedho, a senior disciple in the lineage of the Thai Forest master, Luang Por Chah.

Luang Por Sucitto was instrumental in establishing Cittaviveka, Chithurst Buddhist Monastery in West Sussex, UK, in 1979, serving as its abbot from 1992 until 2014. Today, he travels extensively, sharing the profound wisdom of the Dhamma through teachings and retreats worldwide.

We are delighted to share the recorded sessions from the recent Nine Days Meditation Retreat with Luang Por Sucitto, which was successfully organised by Bandar Utama Buddhist Society and supported by Uttama Bodhi Buddhist Society. This retreat, held from November 24th to December 2nd, 2023, at Uttama Bodhi Vihara, offered a precious opportunity for all practitioners to deepen their practice of mindfulness with awareness in daily life.
