About Ven. Ajahn Dton
Ajahn Maha Dton Dhirapanno (b. 1967, Chonburi, Thailand), also known as Dhirapanno Bhikkhu, is a respected Thai Forest Tradition teacher. A former paediatrician, he studied in Thailand and the US (Children’s Hospital of Michigan, 1994–97), earning the Best of Hospitality award. After a transformative meditation retreat with Ajahn Jayasaro, he ordained at Wat Pah Nanachat, Thailand, and achieved the "Maha" title for advanced Pali studies. Now co-abbot of Wat Pah Boon Lorm, Ubon, he advises hospitals, schools, and government bodies, and leads Dhamma talks and retreats globally. As a visiting monastic at Bandar Utama Buddhist Society, he inspires spiritual growth and compassion.
