Biography
Ven. Ajahn Cagino is a Malaysian-born monk. He was once an internationally acclaimed professional photographer before dedicating his life to the spiritual path. He received his full bhikkhu ordination in 1996. To deepen his practice, he re-ordained at Wat Pah Nanachat in the Ajahn Chah lineage in 2001. 

Ven. Ajahn undertook a 4,000-kilometre tudong – a solitary walking pilgrimage – in the rugged wilderness of North and Northeast Thailand, using photography to document the daily lives and quiet dignity of forest monks. In 2010, he founded the Dhammagiri Foundation in Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand, a Buddhist children's home that provides Dhamma education for hill tribe children. In 2014, he established Wat Hongson Wanaram, which is officially recognized as the 302nd branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong (Ajahn Chah’s monastery).

Biography

A graduate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Venerable received his Higher Ordination as a Bhikkhu in 2004. He trained under Pa Auk Sayadaw in the Myanmar Forest Tradition, and spent many years practising in Myanmar, India, Nepal and Germany. Venerable believes in studying the original words of the Buddha according to the system of Listening, Contemplating, Meditating. Venerable is currently the spiritual advisor of Buddhist Missionary Society Youth Section.

Biography
Ven. Vimuttadhammika was ordained at the Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary in Taiping, Perak, in 2020, with Venerable Ariyadhammika as his preceptor. He has spent time in Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Europe, staying in various monasteries of different traditions. He endeavors to translate the maps and instructions found in the suttas and contemporary traditions into the lived experience and realization of the Dhamma.

It is not about passive acceptance, but responding with greater calm, clarity, and wisdom. Using real-life examples, Dr. Wong will share how the Buddha's teachings can offer guidance in handling adversity with understanding and resilience.

An aspiring Buddhist practitioner, Dr. Wong also holds a strong interest in environmental wellness.

He is currently a Professor at the School of Psychology at Sunway University. He previously led the Master of Clinical Psychology programme at UKM from 2003-2012. He is the Founding President of the Malaysia Society of Clinical Psychology which he established in 2010. He has also served as the Secretary of the Asian Cognitive Behavioral Therapies Association twice. He has a keen interest in contributing to the development of mental health literacy in Malaysia; he has given over 400 talks at both professional and public events and is the author for the book titled, “Happiness”.

Biography

Venerable started learning about the Dhamma and meditation at Wat Pah Muttodaya in Germany. She became a maechee/anagārika after meeting her teacher, Ayya Phalanani, in 2017 in Northern Thailand. She went forth into the homeless life with Ayya Phalanani in 2019 in Germany, and received Upasampada (higher ordination) from the Most Venerable Ayya Tathaloka Mahatheri in California, USA, in 2021. Venerable currently resides in Thailand and spends most of her time in monasteries of the Thai Forest Tradition. The lifestyle of a forest monastic resonates with her, as it represents the “original way of life” recommended by the Buddha for one who has gone forth.

Biography : 

Born in Bangkok, Ven. Ajahn Golf was ordained as a Buddhist monk in the Dhammayut lineage of the Forest Tradition in Udon Thani Province at the age of 20. Since then, he has practiced under various meditation masters in Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Khon Kaen, and Nong Bua Lamphu.

Tan Ajahn has completed 20 Vassas and is the abbot of Wat Pa Anuttaro in Nong Bua Lamphu Province. He has been practicing diligently in the forest for many years, and chose to begin teaching only after gaining a sufficient understanding and the confidence to share the Dhamma correctly.

Biography
Bro. Tan Siang Chye is a Buddhist leader, Dhamma speaker and practitioner of Satipaṭṭhāna meditation. Apart from serving as the Director of Nalanda Institute Malaysia, he also advises the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association. He has also taken on many key roles in the Buddhist Missionary Society. His talks focus on applying the Dhamma in daily life. He was a senior academic at Taylor’s University before retiring in 2017.

Ven. Dr. M. Seevali is the esteemed founder and Executive Director of Buddha Dharma TV. A Canadian of Sri Lankan origin, Bhante Seevali brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He holds an M.A., D.E.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Paris, France, and is a prolific author and lecturer. He also served as a Professor of Classical Languages and Theravada Buddhism at the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi, India.

BUBS is organising a Cheng Beng Dana and Blessing on 5 April 2026. Monastics from Sentul Buddhist Temple will visit UBV to give a short Dhamma talk on the significance of offering Dana during the Cheng Beng period.

The talk and blessing will be held in the Buddhacetiya Hall at 9:00 am, followed by Dana at 10:00 am in the Sangha Dana room.

Luang Por Sophon is currently the Abbot of Wat Bueng Latthiwan in Ayutthaya, Thailand. Known for his serene presence, Luang Por is 81 years old with 58 vassas. Luang Por went forth into monastic life out of gratitude to his late parents. He travelled and lived in Wat Nong Pah Pong with Luang Por Chah before Luang Por Chah sent him to set up Wat Bueng Latthiwan, which is the 20th branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong. As a monastic trained in the Luang Por Chah tradition, Luang Por Sophon emphasizes cultivating virtue and focusing on the practical application of the Dhamma.

Biography

Ven. Ajahn Cagino is a Malaysian-born monk. He was once an internationally acclaimed professional photographer before dedicating his life to the spiritual path. He received his full bhikkhu ordination in 1996. To deepen his practice, he re-ordained at Wat Pah Nanachat in the Ajahn Chah lineage in 2001. 

Ven. Ajahn undertook a 4,000-kilometre tudong – a solitary walking pilgrimage – in the rugged wilderness of North and Northeast Thailand, to document the daily lives and quiet dignity of forest monks. In 2010, he founded the Dhammagiri Foundation in Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand, a Buddhist children's home that provides Dhamma education for hill tribe children. In 2014, he established Wat Hongson Wanaram, which is officially recognized as the 302nd branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong (an Ajahn Chah monastery).
