Biography
Ven. Dr. M. Seevali is the esteemed founder and Executive Director of Buddha Dharma TV. A Canadian of Sri Lankan origin, Bhante Seevali brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He holds an M.A., D.E.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Paris, France, and is a prolific author and lecturer. He also served as a Professor of Classical Languages and Theravada Buddhism at the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi, India.

BUBS is organising a Cheng Beng Dana and Blessing on 5 April 2026. Monastics from Sentul Buddhist Temple will visit UBV to give a short Dhamma talk on the significance of offering Dana during the Cheng Beng period.
The talk and blessing will be held in the Buddhacetiya Hall at 9:00 am, followed by Dana at 10:00 am in the Sangha Dana room.

Luang Por went forth into monastic life out of gratitude to his late parents. He travelled and lived in Wat Nong Pah Pong with Luang Por Chah before Luang Por Chah sent him to set up Wat Bueng Latthiwan, which is the 20th branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong. As a monastic trained in the Luang Por Chah tradition, Luang Por Sophon emphasizes cultivating virtue and focusing on the practical application of the Dhamma.

Biography
Ven. Ajahn Cagino is a Malaysian-born monk. He was once an internationally acclaimed professional photographer before dedicating his life to the spiritual path. He received his full bhikkhu ordination in 1996. To deepen his practice, he re-ordained at Wat Pah Nanachat in the Ajahn Chah lineage in 2001.
Ven. Ajahn undertook a 4,000-kilometre tudong – a solitary walking pilgrimage – in the rugged wilderness of North and Northeast Thailand, to document the daily lives and quiet dignity of forest monks. In 2010, he founded the Dhammagiri Foundation in Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand, a Buddhist children's home that provides Dhamma education for hill tribe children. In 2014, he established Wat Hongson Wanaram, which is officially recognized as the 302nd branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong (an Ajahn Chah monastery).

Bro. Benny Liow is a Dhamma worker engaged in numerous Buddhist activities, as well as in studying the Buddha’s teachings.
He has a strong interest in Buddhist publications. Besides serving as the Editorial Consultant, he is also a contributor to the “Religions and Beliefs” volume of The Encyclopaedia of Malaysia (2006). To date, Bro. Benny has written and edited nine books on Buddhism. He is also currently assisting the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia as the editor of its magazine, Eastern Horizon.

Biography
Born in 1956, Venerable Ajahn Mettiko spent his growing-up years in Muar, Johor. He received his higher ordination at Wat Pah Nanachat in 1997 in the Ajahn Chah lineage. He has served and practised at various Ajahn Chah branch monasteries in Thailand, also in the UK at the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, and in Australia at the Buddha Bodhivana Monastery. Venerable Ajahn Mettiko is currently the Abbot of Persatuan Meditasi Bodhi Vihara in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu.

Biography
Bro. Ghatikara Loo first encountered the Dhamma during his higher secondary studies in Singapore. His interest deepened after returning to Malaysia through exposure to the teachings of Bhante Suvanno and Bhante Dhammavuddho. He later gravitated towards Early Buddhism based on the Pali Canon under the guidance of Ayasma Aggacitta and Ayasma Ariyadhammika. He is committed to studying the suttas and supporting the bhikkhu Sangha and the Buddha Sasana for the preservation of the true Dhamma.

Biography
Ven. Ajahn Cattamalo is the Abbot and a founding monastic of Muttodaya Forest Monastery in Germany. Originally from Germany, he was ordained in 1988 at Wat Nong Pa Pong in Thailand under the lineage of the late Ven. Ajahn Chah. After spending seven years practising with various forest masters in Thailand, he moved to Australia, where he served for 13 years at Bodhinyana Monastery in Perth, including five years as the Deputy Abbot alongside Ajahn Brahmavamso. In 2008, he returned to his home country to establish Muttodaya, where he continues to lead the community and share the profound teachings of the Buddha in the Thai Forest Tradition.

Biography:
Ven. Ajahn Martin is a highly respected senior monk and the current Abbot of Wat Phu Khong Tong in Thailand. Born in Germany in 1957, he was a computer engineer before ordaining in 1995 under the legendary Luang Ta Mahā Bua at Wat Pa Baan Taad. A dedicated practitioner of the Thai Forest Tradition, he spent over 20 years living in the jungles of Thailand, often meditating for 14 hours a day and undertaking annual tudong (forest wandering) for months at a time. Following the passing of Ajahn Paññavaddho in 2004, he took on the vital responsibility of instructing international visitors in Dhamma and meditation, becoming the primary teacher for foreign practitioners at Wat Pa Baan Taad for many years before moving to his current monastery.

Ven. Ajahn Jayanto is an American-born Theravāda Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. He was born in 1967 in Boston and became interested in Buddhism while in university. In 1989 he joined the monastic community at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in England and became a fully ordained monk in 1991.
He trained in the UK and Asia for many years. Today, he is the co-abbot of Temple Forest Monastery in New Hampshire, USA, where he teaches meditation and the Buddhist path.

In recognition of his contributions, he was granted Thai citizenship in 2021 and received an ecclesiastical title in 2024.

Ven. Ajahn Kusalo is a distinguished senior monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. A native of New Zealand, Ajahn Kusalo took full ordination in 1992 under the guidance of Luang Por Sumedho. He has a wealth of experience, having spent six years training at Amaravati Monastery in the UK, and eight years in Canada, where he played a central role in establishing Tisarana Buddhist Monastery near Ottawa.
Ajahn Kusalo returned to his home country to serve as the Abbot of Bodhinyanarama Monastery in Wellington for over a decade, guiding the monastic community until he retired from that role in 2024. He is known for his deeply practical approach to the Dhamma, emphasizing mindfulness and meditation in everyday life.

Ven. Ajahn Jayasaro is a British-born Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. Born in 1958, he was ordained in Thailand and received full ordination in 1979. He trained under the renowned meditation master Ajahn Chah and later served as the abbot of Wat Pah Nanachat, the international monastery established for foreign monks.
Today, Ven. Ajahn Jayasaro lives in a peaceful hermitage near Khao Yai National Park, where he continues to teach meditation and Buddhist principles to both monastics and lay practitioners.

Born in London in 1949, Luang Por Sucitto entered monastic life in Thailand in 1975. He took bhikkhu ordination there in 1976 and returned to Britain in 1978 to train under Luang Por Sumedho in the lineage of the Thai Forest master, Luang Por Chah.
In 1979, Luang Por Sucitto was part of the group of monks that established Cittaviveka, Chithurst Buddhist Monastery in West Sussex, UK. Luang Por was the abbot of Cittaviveka from 1992 till 2014. Presently, Luang Por travels on teaching engagements throughout the world.

Ven. Ajahn Ṭhānissaro was born Geoffrey DeGraff in 1949 in America. Upon graduating in 1971 with a degree in European Intellectual History from Oberlin College, he traveled on a university fellowship to Thailand. After a two-year search, Ajahn Ṭhānissaro found a forest teacher: Ajahn Fuang Jotiko, a Kammatthana monk who studied under Ajahn Lee Dhammadaro. Ajahn Thanissaro ordained in 1976 under Ajahn Fuang and served as Ajahn Fuang's attendant till Ajahn Fuang's passing in 1986.
In 1991 he travelled to San Diego County where upon the request of Ven. Ajahn Suwat Suvaco, he helped start the Metta Forest Monastery. He has been the abbot of the monastery from 1963 till today.
In 1995, Ajahn Thanissaro became the first American-born, non-Thai bhikkhu to be appointed Preceptor (Upajjhaya) in the Dhammayut Order. He also serves as Treasurer of that order in the United States.
Ajahn Ṭhānissaro is perhaps best known for his translations of the Dhammapada and the Sutta Pitaka—almost 1000 suttas in all— as well as translations of the dhamma talks by the Thai forest ajahns. He has also authored several dhamma-related works of his own, and has compiled study-guides of his Pali translation.

As an engineer, he retired as a Director from the Public Works Department of Malaysia. In the realm of community and spirituality, he is the Chairman of Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia (YBBM), the President of the Malaysian Buddhist Research Society, and an Advisor to the Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM), having previously served as its President. An engaging, bilingual speaker and author of several books on Buddhism, including Dhamma-based Leadership, Dato Ir. Ang Choo Hong is a dedicated Dhamma torch-bearer known for his extensive efforts in propagation across Malaysia.
