Biography

Luang Por Thawin was ordained on 23 June 1984 and trained in the Forest Tradition lineage of Luang Pu Chah. He practised at Wat Nong Pah Pong under the guidance of Luang Por Liem and had the rare opportunity to personally attend to Luang Pu Chah on several occasions, gaining profound inspiration from the great master. Luang Por Thawin deepened his practice through training in various forest monasteries across Thailand, including Wat Pa Bodhiyana and other renowned meditation centres. In 1998, he was entrusted by Luang Por Liem to establish a new monastic residence, which later developed into Wat Pa Nong Kung. 

He holds several important ecclesiastical appointments including as Sub-district Head Monk (2022), personal staff member of Luang Por Liem (2024), and receiving the title Phra Khru Vinaithorn Thawin Thavaro; Luang Por was appointed Preceptor (Upajjhaya) in 2025.

Biography

Dato Ir. Ang Choo Hong is a highly respected figure in Malaysia, renowned for his dual expertise as a professional engineer and a leading Buddhist thought leader. He was attached to the Public Works Department of Malaysia before retiring as its Director. His contribution to the Buddhist community includes serving as the Chairman of Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia (YBBM), Advisor to the Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM), Executive Board Member of World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB) & Executive Committee Member of the International Network of Engaged Buddhist (INEB) and also as President of the Malaysian Buddhist Research Society at one time. An engaging, bilingual speaker and author of several books on Buddhism, including Dhamma-based Leadership, Dato Ang is a dedicated Dhamma torchbearer known for his extensive efforts in sharing the Dhamma across Malaysia.

Biography

Bro. Ghatikara Loo first encountered the Dhamma during his higher secondary studies in Singapore. His interest deepened after returning to Malaysia through exposure to the teachings of Bhante Suvanno and Bhante Dhammavuddho. He later gravitated towards Early Buddhism based on the Pali Canon under the guidance of Ayasma Aggacitta and Ayasma Ariyadhammika. He is committed to studying the suttas and supporting the bhikkhu Sangha and the Buddha Sasana for the preservation of the true Dhamma.
